Nazım in Büyük Han2022Acrylic on unprimed wooden panel80x60cmOn a visit to North Cyprus, I went for a walk in Büyük Han. Suddenly I saw Nazım, possibly taking a break from his work (blessing people with an olive tree, incense, and other materials which he keeps in his bag). He looked so relaxed, immersed in his own thoughts, almost meditative... I felt I wanted to contain that feeling and take it with me. I wish that when you look at this painting you can also feel it.
